How to clear DNS Cache in Windows

Start Command Prompt:
Click Start -> type cmd-> press Enter,
or press “Windows + R” keyboard shortcut and in the Run command box type cmd and press Enter or click OK.

To flush the DNS cache:
In the Command Prompt run:

ipconfig /flushdns

To stop DNS caching (you need administrative privileges to run the command):
In the Command Prompt run:

net stop dnscache

To start DNS caching (you need administrative privileges to run the command):
In the Command Prompt run:

net start dnscache

If the DNS Client service is set to Automatic startup, the service will automatically start with Windows. To check the service startup type:

press “Windows + R” keyboard shortcut and in the Run command box type services.msc and press Enter or click OK

double-click on DNS Client service in the list.
